Quick2Host Review
It may have been too early for me to write a review for Quick2Host as my association with them is only 2 months old but I would definitely like to mention my personal experience with them till now.
I have been with Manashosting for some time now and being unhappy with their services (read here), I was in search of a host that could offer me best services and was cheap too. Then while surfing I came across a new host Quick2Host.
After navigating their website thoroughly, I googled to know more about them from their existing clients. After reading couple of good feedbacks I was convinced that I could safely migrate one of my managed website to this host.
I initiated the process with them via phone and mails and I was happy to receive the instant responses. It seemed they were following the proactive approach. I was under the impression that their customer service was much better but I did not know that they would be courteous and supportive till the time I actually pay them. And the same thing happened. As soon as I bought a package and paid them, I felt being lost.
My website was configured and I received all login details for manage domain and control panel systems. I uploaded my website and it all worked fine till then.
But problems started soon.
My website required automatic mails to be sent to administrator so I was using the Mail function of PHP. But it was not working here. I raised a support ticket with them and they just replied to use php mail function and closed the ticket. I reopend it telling them I was already using it and it was not working. It happened almost 1.5 months back and when I checked the ticket yesterday, it was on hold. Nothing has still happened.
Another point that I wish to raise here is that, they say that their technical support is available 24*7 but it is only available 9 to 7 and that too only on weekdays. They don’t reply your mails on weekends and after 7 in the evening.
The package that I bought gave me a free domain but can you imagine I am not the administrator of that domain. I cannot change its values as it has been locked by Quick2Host team. My all attempts to get its control from Quick2Host were in vain. They denied my request saying that being a free domain I had not right on it. It is now needless to say that I have to forget it as I had already paid them for a year (I must mention that Manashosting gives full admin rights on your domain even if they offer it as free)
Let’s see how my next 3 quarters with them go. I hope they would be better.
