How to Disable Tabs in Display Properties in Windows

  1. Run registery editor.
  2. Type regedit in Run dialog box from start menu.
  3. Find following address:
    HKEY-CURRENT-USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
    Policies\System
  4. Create a new DWORD (value of 1) and
  • to disable ScreenSaver tab name it NoDispScrSavPage
  • to disable Desktop tab name it NoDispBackgroundPage
  • to disable Themes tab name it NoThemesTab
  • to disable Setting tab name it NoDispSettingsPage
  • to dsable Appearance and Themes tabs name it NoDispAppearance
  • to disable Display Properties name it NoDispCpl
