    Recover Deleted Mails in Outlook

    If you are using Microsoft Outlook and connecting to an exchange server to use official mails then it is possible to recover your deleted mails from the exchange server for past 1 week or so.

    Read below to see how:

    Open Registry Editor (Write regedit on Start–> Run and click OK)

    • Navigate to
       HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Exchange\Client\Options
    • On the right Pane, check if see a value name: DumpsterAlwaysOn
    • If Yes, set its value to 1.
    • If No, then add the following registry value: Data type: DWORD Value data: 1
    • Close registry.

    After you have done that, you can now see an additional option in Microsoft Outlook.

    • Navigate to Tools –> Deleted Item Recovery

    All deleted mails in the last few days shall be available.
