If you work on Microsoft dot net technologies and use Visual Studio as the IDE for development then you sometimes must have felt that the file you are working on is not shown as selected in the Solution Explorer.

Here is how you can do the settings:

• Open MS Visual Studio .Net
• Go to Tools -> Options menu
• Expand Projects and Solutions in the left tree.
• Select General under it.
• On the right hand side, select the checkbox “Track Active Item in Solution Explorer”
