Mobile Telephone Numbering in India

Recently, I received a call from a very peculiar number. I call it peculiar as the number was starting with digits that I had never come across.

The person on the other side said he was calling from Delhi but I was not convinced with him as the number (starting with 9650) looked strange and did not seemed to belong to Delhi.

I immediately started up my PC and googled if we have something to identify which part of the India that number belongs to.

I got it very soon. You too look at it.
