Rupee Going global

Government of India has started a new campaign for designing Indian Rupee symbol, just like US dollar ($) or Pound (£). The symbol would reflect the Indian Economic Growth presence in global market.

Government has also announced that the designer who will provide the best suitable design for Indian Currency will be awarded with 250 Thousand INR (2.5 Lakhs Rupee). You can vote for the best suitable currency on Times Of India website where they have collected some samples from visitors.
