I was recently working on reinventing the categories of NKJ Live so had to create couple of new categories. While creating, I noticed that WordPress does not maintain the case of the category name when adding.

Let’s suppose if I create a category with the name “Education”, the category which gets created is “education” i.e. word case is not maintained.

I found this behavior very inconsistent as sometimes it was maintaining and many a times it was not. So I had to manually edit the category name.

Another issue that I always face is that when posting an article, the tags that I write in the text box are NOT added themselves, instead I have to click the Add button to add them before I publish my post.

I know it was an issue sometime back when WordPress upgraded one of their versions but I am on their recent version and still face this issue. Although I read somewhere that it has been fixed but why it has not been auto upgraded in my version?

Is anyone aware of these issues?
