Valentine’s Day, A Day to Gift Someone Special
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and lovers have already started their preparations to make it a memorable day for them.
Valentine’s Day is a holiday celebrated on 14th February every year throughout the world. It is the traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other by sending Valentine’s cards, presenting flowers, and valentine gifts. The holiday is named after two among the numerous Early Christian saint martyrs named Valentine.
It is a day to celebrate love and to show that you care for your loved ones.
It is believed that Valentine actually sent the first ‘valentine‘ greeting himself. While in prison, he fell in love with a young girl who visited him during his confinement. Before his death,
he wrote her a letter, which he signed ‘From your Valentine‘, an expression that has been adapted by all lovers around the world today.
Since then, giving gifts to your loved ones, referred to as valentine gifts, has been in practice. Some parts of the world do not observe this as a holiday and some completely boycott it for their own reasons. But it is one day on which lovers express their love, affection, gratitude for being 
together and some couples begin their journey on this day by proposing or getting married.
There are numerous ways by which lovers can express their love and care. Giving valentine cards is an option accompanied by beautiful flowers, perfume, cosmetics, dress etc. It is always preferable to present what your loved ones like that can make them smile because it is the day you would want to be the happiest day of your life and there is no comparison of having your loved ones smile.
