How To Access Picasa/Flickr Albums When Blocked

Many a times we receive Flickr / Picasaweb album links from our friends, relatives and colleagues. But being in the office and the service blocked inside we could not see them and  generally tend to forget about it afterwards. And effectively forgetting to enjoy viewing them.

There are hundreds of tutorial and websites available to view the unblocked websites but picasaweb may or may not work there.

Here is a quick workaround on how to view Flickr and Picasaweb albums when they are blocked.

    • Select Flickr / Picasaweb or any other content source
    • Provide Album Page (e.g. http://picasaweb.google.com/********/WaxMuseumLonavala, if Picasa is selected).
    • You can do similarly for other sources too.
    • Click OK to view pictures of the album on right side of the screen.
    • You can even customize the view and paste the code on your web to share it with your friends.

    Note:

    • This will work only if Cooliris itself is not blocked.
    • Cooliris actually converts the original link into a different link which might not be blocked and hence it works.  In case even this does not work then your Org is intelligent enough to block services properly icon smile tutorials How To Access Picasa/Flickr Albums When Blocked
    • This may not work on private albums.

Hope this helps you to stay in touch with your near and dear ones anytime, anywhere.
