Most of the iPhone users might be already aware of this very own feature of Apple iPhone but many who are still in learning iPhone phase or never needed something like this will be really glad to know about it.

We have hell number of iPhone apps available in the store that can capture the screen of iPhone, the same way we have infinite number of screen capturing applications for our windows desktop and for that matter any OS desktop.

But do we forget that the system already have an in-built screen capturing capability on our keyboard? It’s “Print Screen” or “PrntScn” and we have been using it ever since we have started using systems. In similar fashion, iPhone also has the ability to capture screens without use of any app.

And this is how you can do it. It’s damn easy.

Simply press and hold the “Home” button at center bottom of the iPhone, then click and release the “Sleep” button on top right of the iPhone. You will see a white flash for a moment on your iPhone and the imageĀ  gets added to your “Camera Roll

You can see the screen shot in “Camera Roll” application. It’s a high quality image in jpg format which you can save and share.

The procedure works on any screen and even when your iPhone is locked.

Please note this feature is available in iOS verison 2.x and above.
