    2264 Years to Count 7 Billion People

    I came across two videos today and they were somewhat related to each other. They both talked about people count and time to count them.

    Let’s see the first video from National Geographic which says it would take 200 years to count the world population which is 7 billion (1000 millions) at the moment.

    Another video that I watched just after this said 500 people in 100 seconds. See this video:

    I did a quick calculation:

    If 500 people in 100 seconds, then in 1 second we can count 5 people.

    So, effectively we can count 7 billion people only in 2663.63 years. Isn’t that a right calculation.

    I know they may be unrelated but I tried to co-relate them to find out the exact number. May be National Geographic has some very efficient tools or people to do this stuff in 200 years.
