If you have been a crazy fan of Bollywood songs and regularly download mp3 songs from online sites like songs.pk or radioreloaded.com but cannot do as songs.pk is now blocked by major internet service providers in India.

FYI, www.songs.pk has been blocked in India, as per a ruling by Calcutta high court. Two industry bodies and one music company had sought a legal restraint on 11 companies to block access to the music website songs.pk.

Phonographic Performance Ltd, The Indian Music Industry, and Sagarika Music Pvt Ltd were seeking a restraint on Internet access to download, stream, disseminate, and reproduce copyright music on this site, according to a public notice.

The Court has passed an order, asking all ISPs to block access to the website through methods such as DNS name blocking, IP address blocking via routers, and DPI based URL blocking.

The petitioners had sought the now familiar route of blocking access to the site from within India, naming ISPs like Dishnet Wireless Ltd, Reliance Wimax Ltd, Hathway Cable & Datacom Pvt Ltd, Hughes Communications Ltd India, Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd, Reliance Communications Infrastructure Ltd, Wipro Ltd, Sify Technologies Ltd, Bharti Airtel Ltd, Vodafone India Ltd, and BG Broadband India Pvt Ltd in the petition.

Although I also see that the site is not accessible from Reliance, Aritel, Tikona service providers but here’s the trick using which you can still download full songs from songs.pk using the same internet providers.

You might be seeing this on your browsers when looking for songs.pk

You can try accessing the cached copy of the page. It may not work always but below the foolproof method to download songs even from your college, offices where proxy servers are blocked.

• Open Google Translate Service
• Translate songs.pk from English to Hindi

• Search for any song / movie or album.

• Copy the found URL to Google Translate box and click Translate again.

• Click on the songs one by one to download

• You will see an error that link cannot be translated. Actually the link the mp3 file. Right click on the highlighted text and save file as or save link as or save target as.

UPDATE

Just noticed that a new domain has replaced songs.pk in India. Now you can download all songs from www.songspk.pk. Only sites can be blocked and not the content.
