The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have announced the second phase of the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2009 to be conducted on January 30-31, 2010 for candidates who faced disruptions during the test and could not complete the test in the first phase conducted from November 28 to December 8th, 2009 due to the virus attack and computer crashing.

The IIMs have arrived on a criterion (as following) to decide which student must be allowed to re-appear for the examination.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), India, has announced the date sheets for Class X and XII Board examinations for the session 2009-10 to commence from March 3, 2010.
The Class 10 examination will conclude on March 31, while the Class 12 examination will continue till April 8.

IISc has been adjudged India’s top ranking Engg/Tech institute among the 67 engineering and technological institutes.
Based upon the paper publications between 1999 and 2008, Gangan Prathap and BM Gupta calculated the performance index and mentioned in the Aug 10 issue of Current Science that IISc ranks No. 1.
The ranks are definitely not surprising as IISc has been on top unofficially among the students, though it will surely start a race among non-IISc researchers.
