Do you know the average internet user is now online for 13 hours a week? I could not believe it, not because 13 hours is too much but it seems way less the way we see cyber usage around us.

According to a survey on CNET,

The average number of hours that people spend online each week has grown over the years, hovering at 7 hours from 1999 through 2002, 8 or 9 hours from 2003 through 2006, and 11 hours in 2007. The level hit its peak at 14 hours in October 2008–after the global recession had set in

Wow!! Isn’t it amazing? It has climbed up from 7 hours in 1999 to only 13 hours now even though internet popularity has increased tremendously in last 10 years only.

Google, Yahoo, Twitter, Orkut, Facebook and the endless list has gained the household names in these years. Information Technology became an industry of millions of people to earn their living that includes major time spending on internet.

Personally, I spend around 6 to 10 hours online daily averaging around 50 hours a week and believe me I am an internet freak the way many people in this blogging world are.

Let’s average out our own number.

Comment your weekly time spent on internet and we’ll try to figure it out. Wat say?
