After rolling out Google Plus, Google is now updating the look & feel of 7 years old Gmail.

According to Google, series of interface updates is to help strip out unnecessary clutter and make Gmail as beautiful as it is powerful. Gmail is said to be working on the gradual upgrade in next few days for all accounts.

If you cannot wait for the automatic upgrade, then you can yourself activate the new interface which is available as themes currently.

Go to Themes tab in your Gmail settings and you will see 2 new themes Preview and Preview (Dense). Activate either of them.

One thing is missing… when you have labelled a mail and you read that mail… Right at the top, there appears inbox and the label you have put.. So you can directly check mails marked with the ‘label’…
It is looking good anways.. And No ‘Ads’ in my view :)

And yes ads are quite irritating …
