I did not know this till the time I turned up to my system after a day leave. Yes, my Twitter account was hacked.

But Twitter seems to be quite intelligent in identifying the phishing attack so early that it reset my password on its own within couple of messages that were posted on my account.

See a screen shot of the fake messages below:

You know when I tried to login to my account, it was not allowing me to. I reset the password and later realized that I have some fake messages and also then I checked my email to know that Twitter had already reset it.

Following is the extract of that email:

Hey there.

Due to concern that your account may have been compromised in a phishing attack that took place off-Twitter, your password was reset. Please create a new password.

Please click on the link below our copy and paste the URL into your browser:

http://twitter.com/account/password_reset?email=*****&token=******

This will reset your password.

Twitter is so cool.
