Yes, it is Bharat vs. India.

India, a country or better known as sub-continent stands on two pillars, one made up of gold and other with rusted pig iron. Now it’s high time to think about the pillar of rusted iron if we intend the nation to stand tough in the coming era. A country where more than 456 million people or about 42% of the population living below the new international poverty line of $1.25 per day thereby making it a home of 33% of the global poor, which is pegged at 1.4 billion people (figures revealed in World Bank’s latest estimates on global poverty). In contrast to above notion, we stand on 12th position when it comes about sizing the economy, Our GDP worth $ 1.209 trillion in the fiscal year 2008-09 and also has Mumbai, the business capital of India which houses highest number of billionaires in the world.

We talk about soaring Sensex reaching to new peaks every day; there is a good artistic GDP value, and a city with highest no. of billionaires and in contrast to all we also have populace fighting against all the odds so as to live one more day, shivering in the chill with no cloths to protect against cold and still pleading to god for the rain to arrive and kill the thirst of cultivated fields.

This sharp disparity gives an impression of ours that we care for only one pillar and the other pillar is left in the open air, which is getting more n more rusted everyday, and we are waiting for the day when it will oxidized to the core with no hope to recover from there.

When there is no bread for over 42 % of populace among us, 58 % are fighting for more butter.

If not empathy, lets at least show some sympathy towards our motherland…the great nation INDIA.
