  • Do you have a blog?
  • Do you have a popular blog?
  • Do you get lots of comments on your articles?

But, do you ever spare time to respond to your readers comments?

If not, then you are neglecting their importance and this may affect traffic on your blog.

Think in this way. A Blog is a company and bloggers are the people running the company and selling their products as articles on web. Readers are customers of the blog and if they are not served well, then you are at high risk of losing your credibility and commitment towards your customers, your readers. They start losing interest in your blog.

If I leave a comment on somebody’s blog and don’t get an answer then I prefer never to go to that blog again. If 10% of your readers are thinking in the same line then losing 10% of traffic is a huge set back. And the actual number can be much higher than 10%. You cannot afford to rely on new readers all the time.

Even otherwise, responding to comments is an ethical approach to build a good readers base and likewise. It should not bother you how good the comment is or how bad it is. Responding to comments is an integral part of blogging. And, you are not a blogger if you ignore your readers.

Building reader base is not as easy as selling world of Warcraft accounts. It needs continuous touch with the readers via comments.

Think about it.
