Google has always celebrated important dates by depicting them in its Google Doodle like Michael Jackson’s birthday, happy holidays wishes and many more.

This time Google is celebrating the 30th anniversary of an arcade game of its time Pac-Man. Pac-Man was first released in Japan on 22nd May 1980 and later went on to become one of the most played game in US in 1980s.

Pac-Man is virtually synonymous with video games, and an icon of the 1980s popular culture. Upon its release, the game and its derivatives became a social phenomenon that sold a bevy of merchandise and also inspired, among other things, an animated television series and a top-ten hit single.

We remember when we were kids, we used to play it day ‘n’ night without caring for food or water. An amazing grown up game that taught us to remain intelligently safe.
