Google’s latest doodle is Google’s way of wishing everyone a very cracking new year 2011.

Google has regularly amazed us with their creative take on festivals and important occasions. This time Google came up with a brainteaser that makes us wonder what the secret code behind its new doodle could be.

If you look at the doodle closely consisting of  characters ‘GMMXIE’, an apparent code, you would notice that 4 characters in the middle (i.e. skipping the first and the last characters ‘G’ and ‘e’) signify 2011 in Roman characters.

That is, in Roman MMXI is 2011.

With G and E in the beginning and end makes it the Google’s way. Also fireworks in the background is to welcome the new year 2011.

Great going Google.
