Google has been known to do some of the most innovative things on web. They have recently launched series of advertisements at prime time on Indian television for promoting Chrome browser through inspirational stories of common men.

Through these ads Google wants to show how they and their products have changed the lives of millions for both businesses and individuals.

The first ad, “Letters from Dad”, aired during mid June 2011 across national TV channels, was inspired by true stories about parents taking advantage of technology and services to capture and document the lives of their grown up children.

The second one, “Archana’s Kitchen”, airing these days, tells a real story of Archana who grew up in a small town in Tamil Nadu, Coimbatore and took forward her childhood passion of cooking to the web through a Blog of Cooking and recipes. Visit her blog too, www.archanaskitchen.com.

Google in a statement said:

Google Chrome is a browser built for this new web — a web that’s full of possibilities, a web that helps users go beyond viewing to start doing. Today, 160 million people around the world use Chrome to explore the web and ‘The Web Is What You Make It’ campaign is all about sharing their stories and inspiring more people to get online and change their lives.

Hats off Google!!
