A Swine Flu Message

Posted In Health, World - By NitiN Kumar Jain On Saturday, August 15th, 2009 With 2 Comments

Yesterday I received this SMS and I am completely unsure whether this is just another fake rumour to hurt the business of a particular brand.

You too read this and decide yourself.

“Fwd this msg 2 allk you care… Do not drink new FANTA APPLE. It contains carcinogenic (E211, E224) FAT of PIG causing SWINE FLU…”

-NKJ

Note: This is exactly the same content that I received. No intentions to affect any business.

Have Your Say

    hello,
i also recieved this message, however a little researched on the internet showed that these additives are not from animal origin and they are approved additives by the EU, however some websites do say that they are dangerouse to the health, i have only done a little research and so would not know the exact details, but most websites that seem trustworthy say that these additives are salts and do not come from animal origin and therefore cannot originate from a pig..i also visited a website giving info on halal and haram additives and it says on there that these additives are HALAL.(muslims are permitted to consume them)
the following websites are some of the ones i have visited:

    http://www.foodfigures.com/food_additive/E211_S

    http://eathalalfood.blogspot.com/2009/10/e211-a

    http://www.ivy-rose.co.uk/References/glossary_e

    hope this is helpfull!!

  2. Thanks for the informative links zakwan …. really appreciate … but the complete information about it is still unconfirmed … May be authorities should have come up to rescue or confirm …
