Last week I got an email with some photographs of a building collapse attached to it. It was very sad to see the complete building collapsing from the base. The email had no information as to which building it was. I saw it and forgot about it.

But today I received the email again along with some strange content in it claiming the building to be the one in Navi Mumbai which was collapsed due to the poor strategies and bad construction by the money greedy contractors.

Read the email content:

Sanpada is a township in Navi Mumbai, on the Mumbai to Pune  Expressway…..Massive construction activity,  with hardly any control
or checks by the authorities….  This is an amazing set of pictures… boggle your mind.

A Brand New Unoccupied, Fourteen Storey building…FLAT ON ITS  BACK…!!!!. If you will notice no real foundation was in place. Built on mud, the foundations should have been pile driven into the bedrock.  For a lot of money you still get crap.

Building Collapsed In Sanpada (06/30/2009)

At around 5:30am on June 30, an unoccupied building still under construction at Palm Beach Road in the New Mumbai district of Mumbai city toppled over. One worker was killed. According to information, a 70 meter section of the flood prevention wall in nearby Creek Stream which connects with Arabian Sea collapsed that may have something to do with this building collapse.

But the high-resolution photos are really amazing.

God Bless All Souls and give courage to all Sanpada Residents along with Navi Mumbai NEW FLAT Owners. Think before you invest in Navi Mumbai.

I really wonder if it was circulated by some other builder who willing to deteriorate the image of Sanpada township or something else is the motive.

BBC has clearly mentioned that this was Lotus Riverside Apartments in Shanghai, China. Read here

Read here too to confirm that the email was definitely fake.
