This is really funny or may be I am seeing it for the first time. Google map is suggesting to swim across Pacific ocean for 165 KM to reach to a destination.

Friends, beware, Google is really funny on few occasions and even though they are releasing new products / features one after another, Google sometimes slips in providing a reliable justification to some of their funny and unexplained problems.

We, sometime back, noted few problems like Google Places not accepting a particular word, SSL error in Google sites and few more.

This time, we have noticed that Google Maps, when asked for directions from Taiwan to China, suggests to swim across Pacific Ocean. And it’s not 1 or 2 KM, it’s 165 KM!!

Is it funny or they really think people can easily do such a feat 🙂 ??

See it yourself.

Important thing to note here is that, when similar kind of a direction is asked from Miami to Cuba, then it correctly suggests that no directions can be found!

People in other part of the world are stronger as they can do what they are not expected to, thinks Google.

Thanks Tapan for the share.
