BJP’s Site Hacked Yet Again by Anonymous
India’s main opposition party Bhartiya Janta Party, BJP’s website was hacked yet again. It was hacked in May 2012 and is now hacked yet again. This time the site was displaying the Anonymous page for almost 10 hours. It is now back to normal.
Earlier when the site was hacked in May it was to protest Indian government’s effort to censor social media. That was soon followed by a number of protests by Indian citizens across India, as called for by the Anonymous – to tell the government that India will NOT let the government have its own way.
In a video message posted on the BJP website, Anonymous said that people need to stand up for themselves and for the country.
The hackers also posted a message against FDI in retail and price hike in fuel as well as pictures that allegedly show police brutality in the country. On the BJP website’s home page, Anonymous claimed it would launch an “Occupy India” movement against the government policies from September 23.
