Ever since I have taken birth
I have tried to observe its worth
People keep hovering around the earth
Yet inside me there is some dearth…

Anyone you meet in the way
You owe him something to pay
The world is getting dirty day by day
Few are moaning while some gay…

Whenever I try to remove the dust
I find I am betraying my own trust
Like the iron rod loses its lust
Everyone seems to suffer from rust…

It is difficult to get back the metal
It demands lot of wait and effort
The time has come to finish the battle
Let everything gets itself settle…

About author:

Contributed by my cousin Sakshi Jain, who is doing Economics Honours from Delhi University.
She is one of her own kind who thinks twice before her actions and her actions tells the intensity flowing in her heart. She is a great companion to discuss things with.

Read her another composition A mournful encounter.
